NCIS

The more I watch this show the more I think it is the best show on TV right now. The characters are so well written and acted that even in the few episodes where the crime to be solved is not compelling, the show is still very interesting.

Jethro Gibbs is one of the best leaders on TV and probably the best advertisement for the Marine Corps since John Wayne. The interaction between Tony and Ziva has developed well over her time on the show and, according to imdb.com, will be the focus of the final four episodes of the season.

Abby is a unlike any other character on network TV and is very likable.
The changes in the cast over the run of the series, first involving Agent Todd, then Gerald and finally with both the appearance and the departure of Director Shepard, have kept the show fresh by offering different cast interaction in addition to the plot points which brought about the changes. The growth of the characters, evident from the first season for Tony, McGee and Gibbs, has been handled well and makes each new episode like a visit with a valued friend.

The use of "semi-regular" recurring characters, especially FBI Agent Tobias Fornell, retired agent Mike Franks, and Army Colonel Mann, have been a great benefit to the show. These valuable additions have added to the real feeling of the series.

Tuesdays nights at 8:00 p.m. on CBS is one of one only two times I make a point of being near a TV. If you like action/mystery series TV, check it out.
